About Journal

építőanyag is a scientific journal dedicated to ceramics, glass, cement, quicklime, concrete, brick, tile, stone, gravel and insulation materials and technologies. The Journal is published by the Scientific Society of the Silicate Industry since 60 years.


In 2009 the reputation of the journal has significantly grown. építőanyag is referred by CSA (Cambridge Scientific Abstracts) for many years. From 2009 one of the biggest electronic publisher's ProQuest transmits the journal to more than 22 000 universities and scientific institutes around the world.

The Journal is about:

  • the latest results of research and development of silicate chemistry, technology and building-materials industry,
  • production and product development,
  • problems and duties of environmental protection,
  • technical and economic news (investments, products, facilities, material test instruments etc.)
  • business activities of Hungarian and foreign companies,
  • Hungarian and international conferences, programs, important professional events.

Published quarterly in March, June, September and December of each year, in A4 format.
Members of the Society get építőanyag free of charge.
Readers of the journal are investors of building industry, planners, contractors, raw material producers and distributors, local governments, ministries, educational and research institutes and other enquirers.
